This blog is about my life with my gorgeous 3-legged lurcher Sam, and what its like to live with such a crazy dog while I’m trying to write my thesis to finish my PhD.
Sam is only 1, and although he is really good (now)! in the house, he is an absolute and utter MANIAC when he is out. He gets comments every time he goes out – mostly its people exclaiming how fast he is on 3 legs (he can outrun pretty much all of his friends, hands down).
He is an angel, but of all the dogs I have ever trained, he is by far the hardest outside of the house. I would relish this challenge, but it has come at the same time as the biggest intellectual challenge of my life – writing up the thesis for my PhD. Needless to say, Sam and my work make for a very busy, active and eventful life – which is why we want to share it!
